After hearing the government’s latest announcement we thought we’d update all our members, shareholders and students on our plans for re-opening the airfield and flying.
At the moment until we can get clarification from the CAA, BMAA and LAA regarding the rules for flying the airfield remains **CLOSED**
We hope to get some information tomorrow and will update here when we have more news.
Once flying is allowed members and shareholders will be responsible for ensuring that they are flying legally and are within their license requirements (90 day rule) and within the G.S Aviation club rules as printed in the 2020 Flying Order Book.
There will be no dual flying (check flights or instruction) until further notice and members who are legal to fly must ensure they are current to carry a passenger who of course must be from the same household as the pilot.
All inspection panels and internal aircraft surfaces must be wiped clean with antibacterial wipes before and after each flight and pilots must use their own headsets, pens and cleaning equipment etc.
Once the airfield is operational we insist that members, shareholders and students do not wait around at the airfield either before or after flying in order to keep the risk of infection to an absolute minimum for other members and those who work at the airfield.
We hope you are all well and we will update as soon as we have more information regarding re-opening the airfield.
All the best from all at G.S.A ??
